## Visa to Canada

Residents of the Czech Republic do not need a visa for a short-term stay in Canada for a period of 6 months with a tourist plan. However, before departure, it is necessary to obtain a travel registration ETA, which is mandatory and without it will not let you on board the aircraft.

The State Department recommends using only the [official website of the Government of Canada](https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta/apply1.html) to complete the ETA registration. This avoids intermediaries, who in some cases charge up to several administration fees for this service.

YYZ is Canada's main airport and a major hub to destinations on all continents. It is ideally located between the eastern and western parts of Canada and is close to the northern border with the United States. YYZ Airport is located in Mississauga, 27 km northwest of downtown Toronto.

In northern areas, summer is the only time when the temperature rises above the melting point, but traveling may be easier when all the land is frozen. In high latitudes, you can see white nights in June, while beyond the Arctic Circle the sun never sets longer or shorter, depending on latitude. At Easter, the vast northern territory is still frozen, but the days are long enough. In winter, especially in December, the days are very short.

## Canada's highest mountain, Mount Logan

Mount Logan is the highest mountain in Canada and the second highest in North America. It measures 5959m. This mountain is located in Kluane National Park, in the Yukon, Canada. It is the center of the largest glacier area in North America. The expedition led by A. H. MacCarthy and H. F. Lambert on June 23, 1925 was the first to reach the top. It is located in the St. Elias Mountains of the Yukon, in one of the largest mountain blocks in the world. Mount Logan has several peaks that rise above a snow and ice plateau reaching a distance of 19 kilometers. Now there are 13 different paths to this mountain.
