It is a megalomaniacal project by Nicolae Ceausescu that had the road built between 1970 and 1974. The motorway is 90 km long and connects Sibiu and Pitesti.

There is no snow in winter, and it often rains in the seaside areas in winter. In summer, temperatures are around 40 degrees Celsius. For example, Bucharest is very dry and hot in the summer. The best time to visit is the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. The Black Sea is still warm at this time and you can't be surprised by the snow like spring.
