## 1. Historic cities and squares

You must not forget to visit the capital of Poland, Warsaw. The Old Town in Warsaw was completely destroyed during World War II, but the sensitive reconstruction will not let you know. There is a wonderful atmosphere in these squares all year round.

## 2. Attractions

In Poland, there are many monuments that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, led by Auschwitz, Krakow or Wieliczka salt mines.
A visit to the traditional markets, a tour of the palaces, or the royal residence and the giant castle of Malbork will certainly be an experience for you.
If you are closer to staying in nature, go with the whole family to the Białowieża Forest and National Park, where you can observe the life of the European bison.

## 3. Natural scenery (forests, mountains, skull dune, beaches)

As we mentioned in the introduction, Poland is a really big country, offering colorful natural scenery and is therefore suitable for all lovers of more action-packed holidays. Worth seeing are the sand dunes in Łeba or walks along the beaches along the Baltic Sea. Mountain landscapes, deep forests and huge lakes complete the charm of Polish nature.

## 4. Food

There is no point in visiting Poland with the idea of losing weight. On the contrary, the local food is very fatty and full of carbohydrates, but after tasting you will not care and you will want to get to know more and more. You should try some of the traditional dishes, such as pierogi or makowiec, and also taste food from the markets.

## 5. Tatras

The magical Tatras, sometimes referred to as the Polish Alps, are impressive all year round, but covered with snow brings an even better atmosphere. They are included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves. If you would like to experience a great view of the surroundings, we recommend visiting Zakopane, which is also a great choice for a winter holiday.

We can easily rank Poland among one of the cheapest holiday destinations in Europe. If you do not spend most of the days in the main tourist areas, exploring Poland will be relatively cheap. The price level of goods and services is lower than in the Czech Republic.

The Poles are incredibly friendly and polite, expect to be treated well. For this reason, a holiday in Poland is also suitable for families with children.

## Flights to Poland and Coronavirus

When entering the territory of Poland, it is necessary to observe quarantine for 10 days and have a PCR or antigen test performed, not older than 48 hours. You can shorten the quarantine if you take one of the tests directly in Poland.
Passengers who present a valid international certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 using an approved vaccine are exempt from quarantine requirements.

When returning, quarantine is required and a PCR test is performed after five days.
